1. Turn off the water at the water source before you try to open a blocked tap or the water will flood the house when you'll take the tap apart.
2. You can make opening blocked sinks much easier by blocking the overflow holes with some cloth so you'll get much more pressure to help you open it.
3. In order to repair a leaking and filling toilet ball float you should take it apart, cover it with a nylon bag and put it back.
4. If you plan to thread some pipes it is better to cut some slots in the end of the pipes and when you are finished just cut off the end of the pipe with the slots.
5. If your toilet is leaking check out the rubber band that connects the toilet to the main pipe. Sometimes all you have ot do is turn the rubber upside down and save the money of the plumber.
